Susan G Komen

Komen’s promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Across the country, that promise is upheld by a network of 122 local Affiliate offices. At the heart of each Affiliate is a community that wants to make a difference.

Established in 1997 by a group of dedicated survivors with a shared vision, Komen San Antonio Affiliate has raised and invested more than $11.25 million. Seventy-five percent supports local nonprofit programs providing vital breast cancer screening, treatment and education right here in San Antonio. The remaining 25 percent goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program for groundbreaking breast cancer research and scientific programs around the world.
